Welcome to Music Player (developed by Sahil Parmar, package: com.sahilparmar.musicplayer). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have complete transparency into how our application operates.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Our app operates with zero account registration and zero backend connectivity:

• No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials.
• No Analytics or Telemetry: We do not embed analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics) to track your listening habits or session duration.
• No Advertising Trackers: The application is 100% ad-free; no advertising identifiers or tracking SDKs are present.
• No Location Data: The application never requests or accesses your GPS or network location.

3. Android Device Permissions & Usage

To function as an audio player, Music Player requires minimal Android system permissions strictly limited to local operations:

• Read Audio / Storage Access (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE):
  Purpose: Required to scan your device's local storage for music files (.mp3, .m4a, .wav, .flac) and retrieve metadata (track title, artist, album, duration) so they can be listed and played inside the app. Your audio files are read directly from your local storage and are never uploaded anywhere.
• Foreground Service & Media Playback (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK):
  Purpose: Enables uninterrupted audio playback when the app is minimized or the screen is locked, and displays notification player controls (Play, Pause, Next, Previous).
• Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS):
  Purpose: On Android 13 and above, this allows the app to display playback controls and song details in your notification bar and lock screen.

4. Local Data & Preferences

Any settings you customize inside the app—such as sleep timer preferences, playlist order, or theme preferences—are saved locally on your device using Android's private SharedPreferences storage. This data is never sent outside your phone and is removed automatically if you uninstall the application.

We may periodically update this policy to reflect any updates to the app or changes in legal regulations. The latest version will always be available on this page with an updated effective date.
